What is this light, and where can I get a new power supply?!

Hi all!

I was given this light with a full set up my boyfriend got for me for my birthday from his father. Unfortunately, he told us after the fact that the power supply for this light was damaged and is long gone. He also can't remember the brand of light ‍

Maybe it's my stubbornness, or pride, but he told me I wouldn't be able to find the power supply, so, I'm on the hunt to prove him wrong

Any ideas??

I have no clue, I can’t read the tags in your photos at all. Given the size of the fixtures I’d guess in the 120 watt range, but again I’ve never seen a power input like that.

That's completely fair, I can only read "white, moon blue" and "RO" on the tag

The one pictured is actually UL listed , unusual for cheaper lights.

NOW is it the right one?
connector is "like" a 2 pin microphone fitting.

Don't look too hard. Some of those older LEDs had nasty white diodes that would burn coral if you turned them up too much at all. Moon Blue LEDs is suspect too. There is a reason that nobody is using them anymore. Even one or two models later were SOOOO much better.

All of that said, I have no idea what kind of light that is. If it is just blue/white when you fire it up, then I would not use it except on a fish-only tank.

I don't know about this particular unit, but some of the early 48 inch LEDs were close to $5000. They burnt coral immediately and the owners had to turn the white down very far or nearly all the way off. They could not grow coral - this has gotten twisted over the years by the internet who claim that people said that LEDs could not grow coral... wrong, they said that these early ones could not grow coral and they were right. The units also suffered from humidly, heat and water issues. Some of these folks who purchased these were just out thousands of dollars. I might remember the names of some of these in the coming days as I am doing something random.

Again, I would not trust any blue/white only LEDs until AI Sol or AI Sol Blue. AL Sol are the only ones that I can think of that people had good success with and were sought after for years by people who loved them.

I love how it has photos of bridgelux and cree LEDs, but does not say that it actually uses them.

I actually do have the remote somewhere! Just the dang cord is going to be a pain lol I'm partially debating rewiring it lol

Hi! I have difficulties with my led light. Recently the light has not been working as I hope. The clock seems to work fine but the dimming goes wrong and I need to switch the light on and off manually. I dont have the remote controller because our cat dropped it and our dog destroyed it. :xd...

Probably a necessary step in black box evolution. You put .mp3s on a SD Card and your light plays your music, right? Kidding...

Poor Mika from Finland never seemed to get any help.

In all honesty, I do wish that more panels had controls on the unit so that apps or remotes were not necessary. I have seen kids write better apps for first gen iPhone in 2007/8 for school projects than what reefing "tech" companies have today. Panels with displays and buttons need to make a comeback.
