Thank you for the reply. Its trying to follow my tailspot blenny. No idea how it got into the tank. Will keep an eye on it tho. The tank is about 5 months old.The pics are a bit blurry, but it looks like some kind of anemone to me - notably, it doesn’t look like a typical “pest” anemone, so it may not be bad at all (or at least not too bad).
Hopefully someone better with nem ID will chime in for you and give you a bit more guidance on if this nem is a keeper or not, but this isn’t anything to worry about (and definitely not an emergency, so you can rest easy).
Yeah its so hard to tell. I have never seen it before, and I do have a few aptasia in the tank.i think it is actually a bleached/shriveled bubble tip but majano do look similar to very small bubble tips. a picture in light will help a lot
Thank you for the reply. No live rock, however I did buy a frog swan coral that was attached to a rock. It had a few hitchhikers on it, and maybe it was hiding in there. I should have removed it from the rock lesson learned. Looking it up online it looks like a bubble tip but some think it could be majano. Im going to get a good censes here before doing anything. Im getting ready to fill a new 80Gallon tank in two weeks and swap over my fish to there, and just use this tank as a quarantine tank for a few months then shut it down.Ya does look like small bubble tip. DId you start with live rock from and lfs? Could have been in a crevice when you bought it.
