When I was a boy, my Dad introduced me to Alpine Lake Fishing in the Cascades. We'd go up all the time. For years and years. So many great times up there. We'd go up for anywhere from 2 to 4 days, hike to different lakes, carrying small boats that we'd blow up and fish from. We always brought enough food to eat in case we didnt catch anything, but 95% of the time it was trout for lunch and dinner. Those lakes were some of the most beautiful places I've been to. I know, not exactly Europe, but still, it was stunning up there. As for cities, Victoria (Vancouver Island) and Banff (Alberta) are great. Oregon Coast too. Have gone to Cancun and the Caribbean, but was not overly impressed. Too busy. Too many people.
