What do you guys think of dosing aspartic acid?

I'm dosing 1/2 tsp once a week but this stuff is hard melting. i bought from Iherb.

There was long thread over on RC about this ... and I can't remember the outcome. I do recall people having mixed results. Do a search and I am sure it will come up. If you are dosing for a carbon source, analogous to vodka dosing, I would be inclined to stick to vodka or vinegar. If dosing for coral supplementation ... who knows?
