I have a zoa frag with a couple thin white tentacles that protrude from underneath the Zoas. They do not affect the Zoas in any way, they are constantly stroking the face of the polyp. Any ideas what they are? The frag was fully dipped and has been in the tank for about three weeks.

I know they have been there at least the last two weeks as I’ve seen them on multiple occasions.

That’s what I was thinking. Although they don’t seem to irritate the zoa at all which is why I was questioning it. I’ll peroxide dip to see if that kills it, otherwise I’ll chop up the frag.

I wonder if you can put a pinch of superglue over where it comes out. That might be an easier option.

Too hard to locate the base so I dipped in peroxide for my standard 2 minutes. When the bubbles go down and it opens in a day we will see if the little tentacles are gone.
