What could be a good neighbor to a Pavona coral?

I have an orange Pavona that seems to be the encrusting type. It's slowly growing over its frag plug which is a good sign, but I still intend to place more corals.

What would be okay to place? Should I look for a green branching/cactus type Pavona for a neighbor? What kind of coral won't fight with the Pavona or would at least minimize harm to it? I am going to keep any flowy wavy softies far away from it.

I have an orange Pavona growing right next to a Turbinaria, they’re touching and not bothering each other, though they slowly come closer together so it may influenced their “relationship”.

My green Panvona on the other hand is growing on top of other corals, hanged with a magnet, and doesn’t seem to be able to reach any corals that are right underneath it.

Definitely looks like a pavona, great find! Never kept them myself but my LFS does has a hairy cactus pavona that is stinging an Alveopora colony in the display tank, theirs also has some pretty long sweepers so I'm not so sure on the compatability. @encrustingacro any thoughts?

My green pavina sends stingers around and hits any nearby corals. My orange paving never showed this meaning it’s easier to place near other corals

I have not heard of Agariciids having sweepers. From what I know, Pavona is not very aggressive. His Pavona looks to be P. maldivensis, which grows in a columnar/club shape.

I've seen 2 inch sweepers on green cactus pavona. I'll see if i can get photos

It'd a bad Neighbor to sit next to, I just have it alone in a spot where there's no corals downstream from it due to sweepers .

It may be because the photo is a little blurry, but that looks more like mucus than sweepers.

Leptoseris, Pocillopora, and Acropora keep it in check in my case. Interesting enough, some montipora will kill it back, while others are not so lucky. Eventually it becomes an all out war for space. This is an older photo that I need to update, as the carnage ensues. The Pavona is the green one in center left.

Anyways, Leptoseris would be a good neighbor coral for Pavona, as they are closely related, and possibly congeneric.

Anywhere would work, to my understanding they're very versatile corals, though I think moderate light and moderate flow is good
