I've seen a lot of questions about dipping lately. Here's a list of common dips, what they treat, and how to use them! Enjoy!

I read that article. thanks
got a few questions:
  1. what is your procedure for new frags and what do personally you use?
  2. What do you recommend as an all in one single product? or do you always use multiple dip products in one session?
  3. Do you recommend quarantine for corals?
  4. Can you give us a ranking of products one through five or whatever?

You have a typo in your header

CoralRx and Revive smell exactly the same to my nose. I assume they are the same active ingredient, and same purpose, until shown otherwise

Has anyone used permethrin as a dip? If so, what were the results

1. It depends on the coral. Everything goes through Bayer, and most go through Iodine as well. I QT coral after, observe, and redip as needed. All coral get new frag plugs as soon as I get them too.
2. There isn't a one-size-fits-all answer. Each dip handles something different, so I use them one after another.
3. Yes. Nothing more to say here. lol
4. Not really. They all do something different, and some coral handle different dips better than others. i.e. GSP melts when I use CoralRX, but not when I use Bayer. So I substitute as needed.

Hope this helps :)
