I feel it is safe to assume that a lot of us can notice the little things with our tanks that others don’t even when pointed out.
So maybe we can all brag on our recent feeling of achievement or accomplishment with others that will understand where we are coming from.

I’ll start it off. I’m in my 2nd year of this hobby and for the first time I can 100% say that I am finally seeing growth on every acropora I have. It may all turn south tomorrow but looking at the tank tonight, everything is showing improvement and growth! I have been trying acros for 1.5 years now. Some have survived but a whole lot of them have sacrificed themselves for my education of their care.
Tonight, I feel good about my progress!

For fun and my bragging example.. first pic was February 26,2023 and last pic is April 10,2023. And this was with a tank transfer in between pics.

I think my sense of accomplishment tonight is simply that I have all my fish back in one tank… I’ve had them spread around the house in buckets and small tanks dealing with some ich and getting a new 75g set up.

It still needs another 40 gallons of water, probably 100 lbs of rock, the other half of the RUGF needs to get hooked up, need to triple up on the siphons, but all my fish are in it and I could sit there and just watch them for the first time in weeks :relieved-face:

I’m trying to figure out this color part now. Light intensity and the way the corals react.
PAR meter helps. I happen to use all Orphek with noooschye for shimmer and change 1-2 gallons of water daily- worth 10 minutes daily

Accomplishment.
Finally keeping DINOS in check! Small doses of neo.nitro and neo.phos with a daily splash of phytoplankton over the last 2 to 3 weeks has turned it around.. they are barely noticeable with no side effects. Thank goodness! Lol

My first personal achievement was getting my reef to last over 50 years. All through this experience I always said that if my system lasted that long, I would call it a success. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I of course had quite a few "issues" but all in all I consider it an achievement.

My most recent success was recently eliminating pounds of invasive, photosynthetic sponge that covered almost everything in my tank.

Tank looks like this now, but still have plenty of algae due to my killing sponge so I am not proud of it right now.

PS Publishing a reef book was also fun and kind of an achievement. :D
