The research I did also suggested Iodine was necessary, at around 6 ppm. I don’t test for it, but I use Aquaforest Reef salt and 3 part dosing solution, and they target 6 ppm, which I am happy about. My two Goni’s are going ok 5 months after initially going in.

Here’s alittle update for everyone. Things are looking way better. Flowerpot is 1/4 of the way out today, but the spot doesn’t look as bad, I’ll probably turn the bad side so I only see good lol. Thanks for the help everyone :)

I had a hammer sting a spot on mine awhile ago and it recovered well.

My flowerpot also touched an acan colony one time, but to my surprise the acan is the one who took all the damage.

What is age of tank?

Additionally, these guys need at minimum, established tank, good water flow, feedings 2-3X per week, moderate light (heavy on blues) and salinity range of 1.025- 1.027

About 10months, I do spot feed 2 times a week. Salinity is 1.027, I use a hydra 26 hd so I’ve got enough light for sure :) . Around 1000gph flow 24gal display with 7 gal built in sump in back

Flow appears high. I have mine at 1/2 of that in a 360g. Try reduced flow a little and see how the goni responds
