Just today, possibly blenny irritating itDid this just start? How long have you had it? Any inverts or other corals bothering it? What are water parameters?
Looks like some damaged tissue; possibly brown jelly disease.
All other corals doing greatJust today, possibly blenny irritating it
Would a freshwater dip help? I saw somewhereDid this just start? How long have you had it? Any inverts or other corals bothering it? What are water parameters?

If it is BJD, I've read where some reefers treat with peroxide and/or iodine.
I wouldn't think a freshwater dip would help; maybe use a commercial coral dip. Polyps extended any more in past 20 minutes?Would a freshwater dip help? I saw somewhere
I just fed the tank, with frozen and put some phyto in, will monitor closely. Some are starting to come outI would still look carefully at left side of pic which looks like tissue damage/recession

Good, may just be acclimation you are seeing. Freshwater dip is more for nudibranchs, flatworms, etc. and I don't think you have those.I just fed the tank, with frozen and put some phyto in, will monitor closely. Some are starting to come out
I’m just more concerned about the tissue damageIf its just today I wouldn't worry about it. Every once in a long while mine will close for a day or two at a time. I've had it for just over a year.
I can't really tell from pic; may also only be mucus from being handled. Might want to try to carefully blow it off once it has extended more.I’m just more concerned about the tissue damage
I've got a couple and they are very hardy.
Ha ha, I treat mine like xenia and still can't kill them off. Then again I've never had much success with zoas. This is one reason I love reefing; each tank truly is unique. Not always, sometimes the wild colonies can be tricky... I had one that looked a lot like this one, just slowly receded away. I think it’s a mineral deficiency issue? I forget exactly... it’s been a while.
Every time I see a post about these guys this song pops into my head lol
Apparently, it’s iron and manganese that can be deficient [emoji1743][emoji3601] I didn’t get around to dosing anything with mine, but I did try spot-feeding rotifers and all I grew was algae...

This explains a lot, especially how the coral looks in the pic. Keep an eye for tissue recession an iodine dip might be in order.I totally forgot! One of my frogspawn fell on the flowerpot yesterday. But it’s weird how it’s only a tiny spot, when it fell on nearly half of the flowerpot
