Ok, any suggestions? It isn’t eating, so I can’t get meds into it that way.

Sorry - there are some internal diseases that simply can't be treated, and all are difficult when a fish isn't eating.

The rapid breathing is the issue here, that means the fish is struggling to get enough oxygen from the water, and that in turn means there isn't much time. Antibiotics take even longer than copper does to work.

Dang it :/ I’m sorry, that is always such a bummer.

I hope that you’ll be able to get a healthy specimen to try again. Maybe the store you got the fish from will help you out in finding a replacement?

Yeah I may attempt it again in the future, but I recently lost a blotchy Anthias after 78 days in qt and now this one, so I think after all that drama I need a break from trying to add fish (not to mention my wallet too).

Biology gave me the double bird recently as I tried to prove to myself my skill level has increased.

Understandable. The extra hit to the wallet only adds insult to injury from losing a fish.

There’s times where I wondered if the extra money for buying pre-QT’d fish would be worth it just to avoid the headache.
