I while back I purchased a coral with another coral (?) attached to it but after a bunch of research I still can’t tell what it is and was wondering if anyone can ID it? As it eats (mysis and brine) it curls up and swallows it

That’s called a majano anemone. There are varied opinions on whether they are friend or foe, but I think most folks consider them a pest. They have a surprisingly strong sting and will damage even the toughest of corals if they touch. They tend to reproduce fairly quickly and because they can move around the tank they can do a lot of damage. But some people think they are cool and keep them around. Some of the other color varieties do look pretty cool, but that one is pretty run-of-the-mill brown (most common). Up to you, what to do. If it were me, I’d remove it.

I once saw one a local fish store that had neon green tentacles with a purple-ish mouth. Thought it was some kind of coral at first. Luckily the owner of the store was very honest and up front kind of guy and told me flat out it what it was and that I didn't really want it. He wasn't just a store owner but a fellow reef enthusiast who cared, and wouldn't let you get anything that you shouldn't have.
