I’ve been informed that the family knows and now we here at R2R are able to mourn together the tragic news that the reefing community has lost Jake Adams of ReefBuilders.

I’m at a loss for words as Jake was a very good friend to my family and the R2R community. I had tremendous respect for him and his work and he will be sorely missed.

Prayer for his precious wife and family.

UPDATE from Reef Builders:

We love you Jake, Rest In Peace.

So heartbreaking. Praying for his family and loved ones tonight. What a great loss to the reefing community and to the world. Jake was a great person and a huge help to others in our hobby. He will be deeply missed.

That's so incredibly sad. I was never lucky enough to meet him but I have been enjoying his videos for years.

I will be praying for him and his family.

This is so sad, I'm going to miss reading and listening to all his thoughts. He has made a big impression on me and how I approach this hobby.
So young, it's unbelievable to me...
Rest in peace Jake.
