Nice looking tank~!

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the Klir roller filter now that you've had it running for a couple of weeks. Would you recommend it?
Thanks. Yes, I would recommend the Klir roller filter. My water clarity has improved noticeably since installing it, and at least thus far, has worked as advertised. BRS has them on sale right now. If you’re considering buying one, it would be a good time to do so. Two thumbs uo.

Thanks for the info. I've been wanting to try a roller but was holding off because I didn't want to have to pull mu sump and rework the plumbing. I noticed that the Klir drops into existing sock openings which was appealing but read a lot of mixed reviews about the Klir. Oddly enough, a fair number of complaints on BRS but mostly positive on MD. I also noticed that both sites have it on sale today so I may need to just give it a shot and hope my experience is similar to yours. Thanks again.

There is a little bit of stuff that gets past. And I do mean a little bit. My water clarity has noticeably improved in the week + that it has been in service. I have a sump with sequential sock holes. I have this in the first sock hole and a regular 200 micron felt sock in the second. I've swapped it out once and it had a bit of debris in it, but really very little. Since they are still on sale, I bought a second one to replace the filter sock in the second sock location and to catch anything that my pass through the first. All in all, these are great and any bypass really isn't worth worrying about, at least for me. And ask my wife, I'm SUPER anal - wish that wasn't the case sometimes, but a a tiger can't change it's stripe. These are on sale right now at BRS, if you're considering one, jump in and buy. I'd be surprised if you regret it.

Thanks. I've also go the 105.4. Yeah, with them being on sale I'm very tempted and I have some points saved up!

I saw you got one of the mounting boards. Did you attach it to the side of the stand or is it just sitting there?

I got the Klir today and got it installed. My skimmer immediately overflowed. Did yours do that? I'm worried that this will happen every time it rolls to a new section. Normally I rinse all my filter socks in RO/DI and let them dry. That way when I put them in the skimmer doesn't freak out.

Did you find a solution for this? Considering a Klir for similar setup in my 110.4 MarineX.

This afternoon I actually worked on it. This time I took somewhere around 8"-12" of fleece and manually wrapped it on the roll very slowly making sure to keep it straight while the roll was in its holding slot. We'll see how well that works. I'll post again in a few days with an update.
