Things are coming along nicely. Here is the 130.4 tonight, sand has cleared well.

First QT tank is setup and ready for its first guests soon.

I think the sump plumbing came out quite nice, this is my first tank with a sump so that was a huge stress factor for me in this build. I ordered a board to mount the Apex and other electronics on, the wires mess is driving me crazy (sorry, not creative like some of you guys and time is more crunched that I would like some days). Finally added some lights to the sump area so I could see. Cheap stick up lights from Amazon that have a remote to turn on and off. Other than that, just fixing small details daily and letting the Turbostart do its thing.

I’ve been working steadily on the tank during the stay at home orders.

Got the lid on today and it came out pretty nicely. Will try to stretch the screen a little tighter as I have one sag point.

Started the cycle early April and recently added these guys after the tests showed good. Got them small and they seem to be pairing up quite well. The wife has been testing out new filters I got for her DSLR.

Just got to reading through this one. I have a few questions as I am building my 130.4. Hows the tank doing? What were you feeding the turbostart? How do you like your plumbing setup, now that you have had it running for some time?

I fed ammonia for the first 3 weeks then added the 2 clowns.
Overall I like the plumbing job, I’m redoing the emergency drain due to where I routed it originally. I had to learn how to adjust everything properly as this is my first tank with a sump.

I’m installing an Aquaticguyz algae scrubber on once I get the plumbing fittings. It will be the first thing I add to the manifold. I’ve been using the chamber in between the Clarisea and Skimmer as a refugium. The stuff is growing like crazy and I’m having to thin it every couple of weeks already.

Can you share a pic of the fuge? I’m running UV and a media reactor so not sure if I need a fuge or not. Loving the build so far. This will be my first with sump as well.

The Aquaticguyz algae scrubber showed ans I needed to order some extra plumbing to make it work properly. Will begin that install this weekend or next week.

This is the current look after a few months. Added some small frags to test out and a rock anemone. They’ve been in for a few weeks and seem quite happy so far. I just purchased a Fyre 2k for the back center of the wall. Seems all the debris in the tank ends up right where that dark spot is, makes it easy for vacuuming but worried the flow is a little light in the middle.

It's been a minute since the last update. I finally got the AquaticGuyz scrubber installed today and it looks really nice. I sent it back to them to make some adjustments with the height/width so it would fit better in the 13.04 stand. It is still a tight fit, but I am excited to see it in action. I've been dealing with the ugly stage of the tank and some GHA so this should help fix that issue.

I have a Trident on the way from BRS to start monitoring things more consistently, I am not the best at keeping up with that due to crazy schedules. On the automation side I also bought a DOS and 20 gallon tank to do auto water changes. Just waiting on my side cabinet to show up to finish that project.

On the absolutely crazy, I also ordered a Waterbox 220.6 today. It is what I wanted originally for this space and couldn't get one, but due to some back payments from clients it is officially ordered. I will be moving everything over in about 8 weeks it seems. :)

Congratulations on the new tank upgrade! I can’t wait to see the build for it. It sounds like your making some good progress on this tank in the mean time. Will you keep it set up as well? Also, do you have any pictures of the actual display tank?

Thank you. I’d like to keep them both going and make this a Fowler with some non reef safe fish. We will see how that goes over though .
