Coral snow works great. You dont have to add the other stuff in the recipe the calcium carbonate works fine just mixed with water. I do add the other stuff too though most of the time. Next day its like the fish and corals are in air, super clear. Part of my maintenance is blowing off the rocks weekly anyway and I never see the coral snow sitting on the rocks but there is a pretty big cloud when I blow out the rock work.
Thanks.

I've used it 50 times or more once a week with no issues to coral or fish. Dose at night while fish sleep.
I assume this will be fine,or do you have link for something different?

Ozone is the single biggest improvement to water clarity I have seen

I also use a Reefmat but if I want to get the smallest particles out I use the Marineland Magnum Polisher

I also use the DIY coral snow after every water change. It works

I just seen them on Amazon. Do they have one for a 180-gallon?

And what is ozone?
ozone, o3, is generated in little box simulating lightning with a little arc (kinda like a tig welder but doesn't melt anything) or a uv light(not as cool). what it does is break o2 molecules apart and attach one of those free oxygen molecules to another o2, making o3. The o3 is then sucked into the tank via skimmer intake or airpump or whatever where that extra 'o' goes off like dr jekyl becoming mr hyde acting as an 'oxidizer' and breaking down organic waste and some other potentially toxic stuff. The o3 is really short lived and mostly serves to increase the ORP (oxidation reduction potential) of the tank. if you want to run one, you need an ORP probe so as to monitor this.
