Hi my names jason, I’m living in Australia, Victoria, south east of Melbourne.

Recently I’ve become extremely interested in finding a peacock mantis shrimp to buy but it appears I'm a few years late as all big aquariums near me stop selling them within the last 1-3 years (mainly due to tanks breaking).

I was wondering if anyone in this area had a peacock mantis shrimp or could order one in for me to buy.

Thankyou in advance

Kind regards

Contact your local aquarium store that does marine or any similar online store and they will order one in for you. Cairns marine is the only company here that collects them which wholesale to any LFS. Expect to wait a couple months though as they're not very common.

You can also get other species very occasionally. They will always come in as 'assorted mantis shrimp'. My mantis shrimp was purchased as that, he's a Gonodactylus smithii. Try Geemarine or Reeftopia for online stores
