So like my aquarium has some high nitrates and it's kinda hard to do water changes, so I'm just wondering if vodka dosing would lower my nitrates to a good amount of like 1-3

If this would work how should I do the vodka dosing my tank is 75 gallons with 2 fish and some coral

It would def help.. do you have a skimmer to pull it out? No3 shouldn’t be that high with 2 fish in a 75 unless you’re seriously over feeding.
Yea I have a skimmer also the nitrates came out of nowhere and I've been doing 50% water changes like once a month to try to combat it but it was not working

What is your actual nitrate level now? Unless you have very picky sps coral, nitrate of 1-3 is way too low. What coral do you have?

If you want to run a successful reef tank you need to be prepared to do the hard work, that includes regular water changes especially if the tank is new.

Water changes do more than just lowering nitrates.

There are many threads on carbon dosing, some even running at the moment.
Suggest you read one of those.

How long has this tank been running? If new, possibly nitrite interfering with nitrate reading.. let's see a pic

I made a vodka dosing chart for this purpose.

Been running for around 6 months now
Nitrite interference isn’t going to happen in a 6 month old tank. We can rule this out.

So for week one it's 2.3 ml every day and week 2 it's 4.7 everyday?
Just wanting to make sure

Exactly correct.
