Unfortunately, the day has come where I need to sell my beloved Vlamingii Tang. I’ve had it for almost 5 years and it’s approximately 10”. I’m looking to either trade it or sell it out right and was looking for a current market value.
I’ve seen it valued anywhere from $299-$1300 which is insane. But I really have no idea. I’m just assuming it’s worth $300 . Just looking to make sure I get what it’s worth. Thanks in advance.

Would be interested for my 500! If you end up selling lmk
I am selling him. I just want to make sure that he’s put in the appropriate tank and cared for by somebody that’s been in the hobby at least 5 to 10 years. They have a healthy system and know what they’re doing. He’s more of a pet than a fish to me. I’m in Waterford Michigan

The cost of something is a function of supply and demand. The demand of a grown (at least large Vlamingii Tang) is likely low due to tank size requirement. On the supply side, we have your tang, plus the possibility of getting a smaller one and grow him out if the cost of the large tang is too much since these guys grow really quick.
I don't see how you can sell yours for much over a few hundred dollars.
It seems like you already have a good home for your large tang. Hope you are going to be happy with get him in a larger home. Good luck. I have a 320 now and 420 gals tank in the past and always refrain from getting a Vlamingii Tang.
