Has anyone trouble shoot a VarioS 2 controller not turning on? As soon as I plug the power cord into the controller it sparks like it has and then the green light on the adapter goes out. Nothing lights up or works... the light on the adapter begins to blink... I opened the controller up and found some sort of burnt corroded area inside the controller any idea if this is fixable?

Try this guy. He has a number of videos fixing common reef equipment.

I watched that before hoping to see a solution to this but he didn’t touch on it. I did however clean it really good with alcohol and qtip and it started working again fingers crossed

That looks like the electrolyte leaked out of a electrolytic cap.I have seen that happen in a lot of camcorders back in the 90's. There is not one in that exact area but there is one near on the other side of the power jack. If that is what it is it really stinks when heated with a soldering iron. It smells kinda like dead fish.
