I hear where your coming from but with such a high priced "rare" zoa like the utter chaos has been passed on to us fellow hobbyist I think it needs lineage IMO.

okok..now, would you then, forget the lineage, buy this zoa for 2 ployps/$80. Or is it not worth it.
Better decided in few min to notify the guy whether deal is good to go.

Who is selling them to you? There's only a couple people out there that would have enough to sell you a few....

Just out of curiosity can you prove that? Not everyone comes on these forums and shows there stuff off. It would be correct to say theres only a few KNOWN people to have enough to sell but these polyps didnt just form a few months ago they've been in the oceans probably for centuries lol. Before someone named it it was just another zoa. To be honest I bought a rock with maybe 5 polyps on it from my LFS that like ridicoulisy close to these and grow pretty fast. Every person who comes over asks what they are I just say I dont know because i dont lol. Please dont take me as being rude or anything im just saying

ok. just spoke with the guy, he told me the story as to how he got it.
No lineage from DC or SC but i think 40 a ployp for something like this, ill buy it.
Posting the guys name might be something I shouldnt do since he was not in this conversation at all, but if someone who's interested in this no linage "utter chaos", PM me and I'll PM back his post.
Otherwise, i don't want to cause any drama, just asking for helpful advice for you guys.

ok, just came back from long 1.5 hour drive.
Got myself 2 polyp and 2 baby for $120.
The guy claims that he was with DC, same time, same date, same wholesale. If that's not enough to claim this as "Utter chaos" then its not. But how often do you see these zoa's?
He went in detail as to what happened, but thats something that I don't want to write here since I might put things differently.
I was sooooo tempted to buy 8 polyp with several baby polyps but didn't have cash on me. He only do cash. So I guess I should grow them out.
For those who PM'ed me I will PM back. He has 8 polyps with several baby polyps, and 1 polyp with one baby polyp in his frag tank. I don't know whether he had more somewhere else but thats all I could see.

The Utter Chaos originated as a wholesale colony, DC just happened to advertise and name it first, but that doesn't mean they are only 1 of 2 vendors that have them. If they are available to vendors on the wholesale market, and this guy says he got them wholesale, I think there is a significant chance they are the same polyp, and therefore can and should be referred to as the Utter Chaos. Their characteristics are TOO similar to label them anything else in my opinion.

GHOST did you really get your colony from the wholesalers? From I heard you got it from a LFS.

I was told about this post and just wanted to let all of you know the truth as there is so much UTTER CHAOS about this awesome paly. I didn’t get them from the wholesalers I got them in a trans-shipment since I have been bringing in lots of coral and I am planning on opening a store front for all to enjoy. That is why I haven’t been on the boards at all. All I can say if linage is important then ask….Everyone who buys from me knows I quartine everything for 90 days then I frag them to see if they will make it, then I release it. So its funny to me how other people claim they were with me when I got them since I opened the box here at my house and the only one with me was newnano boy and my son. Maybe OG GHOST IS REALLY A GHOST AND WAS IN MY HOUSE AND TOOK SOME… but let’s be real that didn’t happen. Lol The other thing that makes me laugh is they showed theirs after it was named and shown off. And they said I just got them today. I’ve had mine for over three months but as I’m sure they learned they don’t like to be fraged and I lost half my colony. But better me then my customers. As far as the price for that shipment it cost me 7000.00 and there was a lot of average stuff but this was the main eye catching piece so yes I’m trying to recoup my investment. Those of you who have bought from me know I stand behind everything I sell so just ask some of my previous customers. So you can put a price on service and insurance that it will live after you dish out that much coin. If you have any questions feel free to call or email me thank you Jeremy

I've heard you got it from a LFS. I guess that LFS could be qualified as a wholesaler alsooh:

looking at several peoples original Utter Chaos, IMO they are not the same polyp. Maybe have been collected from the same area but there is a slight difference between the two. I have noticed the ones that have been going around are more of a orangish color vs the originals which are a keeps more a shade of black. Only time will tell though, these haven't been in captivity for a long time.

Sorry but no one is going to receive corals as a vendor or commercially from "shipments" and sell here at R2R without being a sponsors. Thread closed.
