That is amazing, i understand they pick shells and corals but that looks like he picked the GSP up off the rock. Thats amazing

I love the fact that urchins pick up bubble algea and start becoming one of the root causes of it after it pops on their heads
I had a bubble algae problem long before the urchin. This urchin has cleaned up more of it than my 3 emerald crabs.

I had a bubble algae problem long before the urchin. This urchin has cleaned up more of it than my 3 emerald crabs.
I didnt know they ate it (ive not had one before) the LFS only told me they pick them up and eventually pop them.
If mine gets a taste for it this could become a good show

Have the tables turned and the corals are rebeling lol
It's apparently a thing in my tank. I've got critters that like being up on the gorgonaian and swaying in the current.

This is Barlow my pincushion urchin ive had him about a year and hes named after the vampire in salems lot. Ive trained him to come to the top of the water when he is hungry and then i give him nori. Hes actually got a lot of personality and usually picks up shells i put in the tank from the beach. “Also about the size of a baseball.”
