My white pincushion urchin is an odd fellow. When i first got him i trained him to come to the top of the tank whenever he wanted nori. That usually worked but then whenever he didn’t want nori and i would put some on his back. He would release his tentacles from the glass and fall down to the sand. Now he has been leaving his teeth out of his mouth for about a day. Is he stretching or something? Anybody have any idea what this behavior is?

He has moved from this position and been moving around the tank hut his teeth are still out.

I dunno - that is weird. Usually whenever mine couldn't stay with teeth to the glass they weren't long for this world (not suggesting that's the case with yours, though).
I agree it is weird, ive had this guy for about a year and a half now and haven’t had any problems. He’s still moving around and eating nori.

I had one that hunted crabs for kicks in his spare time...
