My woman picked up 2 of these baby blue suckers, 2 weeks apart. They are from the same tank. The first one I acclimated and he was great. floated to the back and after a day or so he came out to the light.
The second one automatically looked ill...starved, maybe torn...either way, it looked dead to me.

to avoid a jelly funeral, i put it in the tank anyway...it never got worse...after a couple weeks it is now pulsing again. very slowly, but alive. I have not tested the water in a year except for salt. I basically rely on my urchins to tell me whats up. A lot cheaper thats for sure...But due to the fact that this jelly fish, an extremely difficult critter that requires pristine water, has regenerated itself, i feel confident that my tank water is awesome.

Is a jellyfish capable of regeneration or am i just crazy?

That is awesome. Do you have pics, I would love to see them. From what I am finding...several people are saying yes, it is possible. This is one of the exact answers I found......... yes but only when its Nero plasmic fertilisation has commenced.

What a relief. I will get pictures in the morning when the light turns on for sure. They hang out about an inch apart at all times...I wish they didn't get so huge or I would just keep buying them haha. I wonder if I can feed them something to change their color. like ghost shrimp when i feed phyto lol.

Jelly pics

The jelly in front of the snail shell is the one that we got first, healthy as can be. loves light and phyto. his room mate, who is recuperating is behind the shell. the healthy one is constant with his pulsing while the other one went from pronounced dead to pulsing once aver 8-10 minutes. slightly more as the days go by.

Thanks! haha. I just gave them baby brine shrimp today, they went INSANE! they are like flying anemone. I recommend attaching a jelly tank to anybodies system, as long as they have a good ecosystem going. One that is not chemically dependent. calcium and certain minerals, but nothing else really. Just Nature in a box haha.

Heck, even my snails are making babies that grow up. Luckily I have a Porcupine who LOVES em!
