I have a relatively new (bought used) JBJ45 and I want to upgrade the pumps to a single DC pump. Many of the threads I found on this are many years old and the recommendations don't even exist anymore. I'm curious what you would replace this pump with if you were doing it today.

The only real feature I definitely want is slow ramp up when turning on. I'd like the ability to control it with an app or something, but that's not a deal breaker since I can also just use a smart outlet with it's app.

I'm not sure if it matters, but I also have two AI Nero 3s in the tank.

I have the same tank that I just started up, using the two stock pumps. I have been looking at the AI Axis pumps, a bit pricey but I also have a Nero 3 and thought it would be nice to have them controlled all from the myAI app. I also like the way they pull water from the bottom of the pump. The Axis 40 is rated 400gph which is below what the two stock pumps are rated at, I believe they are each 265gph.

I ended up buying the Sicce Syncra SDC 3.0. Haven’t hooked it up because I can’t find a y -adaptor for the tubing to the two return nozzles.
