Looks cool, but total pain in the butt! Magnetic, so sticks to my glass cleaner, and from what I've heard, it can leach iron and what not into your tank. It came out 3 weeks later. Don't do it if I may advise!!
I appreciate the quick response! I agree, the look of it was why I used it. But the build up waste trapped in the gravel has been mentioned a lot in posts. Along with it leaching stuff into the tank over time like you mentioned. My biggest concern is that I noticed green hair algae growing on it like crazy, leading me to worry about this being an ongoing issue. With no livestock in the tank I figured now is the time to remove it before I get too far.

Yeah it looks bad when dirty, and a pain to maintain. Get rid of it now while it's easy. A square fish net works well!!
