So I have a 60" tank that has holes on both front corners, tank is four years old.
Do you think this is a burrowing from an animal or perhaps the seals are failing?
I am torn between transferring to a new tank vs taking the credit from redsea towards a new tank?

given the rate of red sea seam splits, destroying living rooms across the world, I'd vote move all contents into a non red sea tank. don't reward them twice is my recommend. even if the seams were not obviously separating, that would be my same advice based on the production year for that tank

* I'd really like the pre planning job done here for that tank move if you don't have one already. in another thread/60 pages long of jobs/ we specialize in moving that life without losing anything. if u want a custom skip cycle plan/can do/we like that

Which manufacturer would you opt for? 5-6 foot tank

It's kind of expensive, but check out Glass Cages. They'll build you one from scratch. You have a myriad of options also. Low Fe Glass, vertical seam guards, etc. Like I said, it's a more expensive option, but you really get what you pay for.

Decision decision
  1. get out of the hobby, live longer
  2. buy a different manufacturer ~4-5000$ tank, restart + angry wife
  3. buy another RS due to 1K credit + angry wife + redo this every 3-4 years
