Thanks guys... I want to move eveything over right now, but I'm gong to ignore that urge. Now that I can keep ammonia at 0, Maui will help complete the cycle. There's a coral up at the LFS I have been wanting... the only soft coral that's ever caught my attention. I knew I was a stick head before I got my first saltwater tank. We have to go trade two fish in at the LFS today, nobody in the local club had much interest, might pick it up and it'll go in here soon.
What is it? Did we vote on this???

Relax guys, I'm not gonna leave ya hanging forever... there was a wreck on the interstate.

Ok so we pretty much racked up at Aquarium Specialty. I traded in my tangs, I hated to do it, but they will be much happier in on of their tanks than the 40 breeder they were stuck in since my 75 sprung a leak. Now, on to the corals I got in exchange.

First, is a blue stag. It's absolutely huge(as far as most frags go) and Dane said it grows faster than he can sell it. This is going up top where it can branch out in the open.

Next is a yellow suharsonoi.(Do not ask me to pronounce that, I call it sushi roni...) This is a deep water acro, and will be placed lower in the tank. Its about to take off from all the little coralites its putting out on the base.
20171101_190029.jpg

These next are frags off of wild colonies. Dane showed me a picture of this first one in a customer's tank and it was turning orange and pink.
20171101_190214.jpg

And this one he thinks was supposed to be a pink picachu... not much color, but it's pinker under my Kessil than under their radions. Dane told me he was going to take a piece home and we could race to see who can get it colored up the fastest/best.
20171101_190150.jpg

Oh and this is the Jason Fox unknown acro that we scored off eBay.
20171101_191832.jpg

And of course, I have better pictures of them side by side.

I knocked that snail off to get the pictures... he's back on the glass, in the way as usual. I can't get the color in the picachu like I see... the rest are pretty close to eye ball view. Picachu is definitely pink, didn't look all that pink under the Radions. The blue stag looked GREEN under the Radions, Kessil it's blue.

Oh and that coral I was looking for. Blue sympodium. We got blue clove polyps, no sympodium... clove polyps take over just like green star polyps. So they get their own rock. A cycled rock. From the 14g. With lots of pretty coraline. Hopefully it spreads to the rest soon. The coraline, not the clove polyps...

So here's the tank as I see it now. We moved the macros over to the left side all together in a macro forest, moved our acan rock back some, and placed the blue polyp rock in the front. Yep, we put the clove polyps in the tank. First coral, something fast growijng and invasive, woo hoo. No, I used it because it's pretty hardy, and if the canary still sings I can move something a little more fragile over, like acans. After acans, birds nest and stylo, then... ACROS!
20171101_192419.jpg

Oh also, we got our first spots of algae. Never thought I'd be excited over algae...(It's the tiny brown dots...)

And where's the clearance sale candy??
Thank you, I forgot... I'll grab some after I go get San Jose for dinner. I've been craving enchiladas and burritos...

Nice haul! I actually like the blue clove polyps. Have em in the biocube and they will spread everywhere but seem to grow around things amd not over things. They’ll get off that rock. Mine have jumped all over.

Not a great pic but you can see it growing around my anachropora and Montis.

Thanks, it definitely adds some nice color and movement. Not sure if you watch many you tune channels but Rico’s Reef Tank is one of nicest SPS tanks you’ll ever see and its loaded with blue clove around his sps.

Youtube is how I pass slow night shifts at work. I told my supervisor I'll keep up with coal and its youtube or a nap. He said stay on the computer... I've subbed Rico's but I still haven't gotten around to browsing his channel. I'll look at it. I kinda like the idea of blue all around my frags. I'll just scrape back where I don't want them. It's another one Dane said grows faster than he can sell it. Threw it in for free bassically.

New toys came in today! A few frag racks for the 14. Well, not much to say about frag racks so, pictures!

This long one is holding my SPS.

This little small one has some of my orange and teal acans and some kind of purple pallys.

And this two story didn't quite fit in the 14, so we stuck it in the 35 on the short side.

Look very closely at that rock in the picture above... do you see something that wasn't there before?

He's out of QT! I didn't see any point in leaving him in there any longer, he is completely healthy and the tank is ok for fish. Took him a minute to get over the terror of acclamation and tank transfer. It looks like this overhang is his spot for now.

Yea, so we just filled up our long frag rack. I had to cut the milli into frags because it had some RTN on the base. Hopefully this will stop it. Its the three frags on the bottom right, next to the green suharsonoi. The other SPS I have are the neon green birds nest(the super thin branch kind), the Bonsai, and the Blue Stylo. Eventually I'm going to get a frag of the Hyacinth Birds Nest from Aquarium Specialty. It's just like my neon green, but a reddish purple color with green polyps. Absolutely beautiful piece.
