How is the bubble situation?

Bubbles are gone as long as I leave the skimmer off. The pump pulls so much suction it requires a higher water level than I had anticipated. Basically, it needs a certain amount of pressure so the impeller doesn't cavitate. The skimmer is going Mount Wannahockaloogie on me, so I have it off for now until I figure out how to keep it running without filling the tank with bubbles.

Skimmers need time to break in and will create bubbles. Or so that's what I was told.

Any reason for those two brands. I've used seachem stability on my two tanks. Was wondering what the difference is.

Ummm... I picked up Biospira from the chain pet store. I've heard good stuff about Dr Tim's sooo.... haven't really heard about others.

It's an older skimmer, and it took a while to break in on the 75g... it got a thorough cleaning running in a 10g with vinegar and hot water... so, it's pretty much new. I think I'm gonna try a 4" PVC coupling sitting under it to see if that'll keep it from overflowing. It worked on the 75 until it broke in, but it never was so bad it filled the tank with bubbles. When I got that thing right, it skimmed so thick you could spread it on a sandwich like Duke's mayo... ;Yuck

I can't see why you'd spend so much for a skimmer when that cheap Bubble Magus work so good.

Am I the only one without a skimmer?

No ATO or skimmer? Now I'm really shaking my head. I'm still off work until Monday night, don't make me drive up there.

Ugh, Monday night. I've been off for two weeks... Anyone remember how I get to work?
