The mystic sunset monti may be too close to the lights. The part I cut off was almost under the rock in pretty low light. I just moved it down to the other rack with the acan.

Good news, the tri color acro and the browned out monti still look good.

Alright guys, I think I've figured out what is happening with my forest fire digi...

Shadowing, and it's still mad at the gyre for not spitting the snail out itself. Alright so, check out these two pictures. They look worse than it really is, I promise. The camera adds 10 lbs. Anyway, everywhere facing up, there is good PE. Everywhere that is shadowed, we have craptastic PE.

I think that's all the problem is. At least with this piece. Still recovering and the shadowed areas are taking longer. Once we get the new system up with T5, shadowing shouldn't be an issue.

I wanted to ask you about your Gyre. Do you like it? I was thinking about getting one of the icecap 3k but some people complain that it is noisy. How is yours?

Forward is silent all the way up to 100%. Reverse gets a little hum to it past 50%. I like this one so much, I'm likely going to upgrade to a 3k on the 90 and just run it. I'm thinking one will be plenty of flow. I don't go past 30% in forward in the 35 or its blowing everything like a hurricane.

Well, read the reviews on the 3k at BRS.... Maybe I'll just wait until RedSea introduces theirs...

I can whole heartedly recommend the Icecap Gyre. I have a 1K and its a lot quiter than my gyres. The Red Sea is interesting too but still another 100 more than the icecap.

I can't find any info on the RedSea yet. I like the icecap because of the price but there are a lot of bad reviews about the 3k being extremely noisy.
