Red Heads, Hot Wings, Spiced rum & Shine....Sounds like a Redneck Road House or at least a Hit country tune.
Definitely a hit build thread.........Forgot the Venison steaks

Brother in Law dropped off some deer sausage. Looks like there is some grillin' going on this weekend.

Welcome to the Deep Blue Sea, @Flippers4pups. You can come out, we won't bite... and there's treats! I have a very good helper pupper myself. His name is Argyle and probably the smartest, most obedient dog I've ever met. Too bad I'm a horrible trainer. He's still a good pupper tho and loves his daddy very much.

Just checked my emails and I have shipment confirmation on the last items I need to get this tank cycling. 30lbs of pukani dead rock, 40lbs of Hawaiian black sand, Sicce 3.0 return pump and a 1" gate valve for the drain. All my stuff will be in on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
I wanted Tonga shelf and branch, but BRS was all sold out(they had over 100lbs a few days ago, someone with a big tank beat me to it) so I'll make the pukani work. I still have some reef saver rock in a bucket in the garage that's all dried out, but I doubt I'll use it. That stuff didn't impress me all that much, seemed to be a GHA magnet and turned this ugly color of green instead of the grey-brown that's in my 14g.

Do you plan to wash the pukani? I've seen a lot of people mention how dirty it is and full of organics.

I've seen pictures and videos of all the dead stuff in pukani. Yuck... Yes I will scrub it over really well but I plan to cycle in tank with chaeto.

Had my first Dr. Pepper in about 20 years today after hearing it can be mixed with spiced rum How did I ever forget this stuff!?! Now on top of fishy door pulls i need to go buy some rum. o_O And yes thats me trying to wink. I just cant do it.

Nice progress on the tank! You keeping the 14 up Robin or transfering?

try fireball instead of rum with Dr. Pepper - will make you wonder why cinnamon Dr. Pepper isn't a thing.

I don’t know about rum and dr. Pepper, but it’s gotten almost cold enough at night here for a shot of goldschlager! And I’m not much of a drinker.

Right around low to mid 80's here, though might have been a bit cooler today. So nice compared to those weeks of triple digits. Not a fan of 108-113..... Or electric bills over 600 bucks. Keep house cooler just to keep tanks under 80 as I don't have a chiller yet!
