How do we turn off the "[username] started a thread called [thread title]" notifications?
I looked in my preferences under notifications and didn't see it.

Unfollow them after you click on their profile

If that doesn’t work then you must’ve mistakenly passed over the notification

I'm thinking that's a result of following those members. Unfollowing them should remove those notifications

I don't follow people. Not intentionally, anyway! :face-with-tears-of-joy: I'm getting the notifications constantly, always someone different. 4 so far this morning.
Is there a new notification setting that's been implemented?

I do see you are only following 3 people and none of them have posted recently.

Are you perhaps watching the forum where these threads are being posted?

What forum is this in? Sounds like you are “watching” a forum.

Do you have any watched forums? I get notifications those same kinds of notifications from the Breeding and Invert forums because I have them "watched."

Same fix as the following - click to stop watching the forum (easy way to to do this is click the drop-down arrow by the "FORUMS" button at the top of the page, scroll down to and click "Watched forums," that'll take you to a page that shows all of your watched forums and has a big button on the right that says "Manage Watched Forums," click that button and it has the option to "Stop watching forums."

If you only want to disable specific forums, you can click the checkbox on that forum in the list, scroll down to the "With selected..." button on the right, and select "Stop watching" or "Disable alerts," then click "GO."

A-hah! I think this was it. I found one of the forums was being watched, must have accidentally clicked on it sometime this past week.
My OCD tendencies will now be relieved... i can't have notifications building up! :face-with-tears-of-joy:
