Couldn’t really take a good picture due to lighting but I installed the ATO and it started filling up my tank with a lot of rodi water so I disconnected it. How did you guys set yours up? A picture would be appreciated.

Red Sea max nano AIO here. I have mine installed in the overflow area where the return pump is. I have had mine set up in this spot for a year now and haven't had issues.

Im not exactly sure what you're saying, the sensor has to be in the same chamber that the top off water is flowing into. Set the sensor at the level you want your water to be at in your return chamber and as water evaporates the ATO will fill it back up to where the sensor is.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear in my original post. I was asking where do I set that float sensor in the water? How far in the water do you place yours?

at whatever level you want, I set mine fairly high because in a nano I want as much water for stability as possible. does 16oz make a difference in any real way when it comes to stability no, im sure it doesn't but I still do it.

Sorry, not sure if I’m not clear again. I want it to stay at the current level I have the water set to so I’m asking where would I place my sensor to make sure it stays at that water level.

It appears you have it upside down. The "open" part of the float housing should face down.

If you have it aligned properly and it keeps filling even after the clear housing is under water, there's something wrong.
As for where to place, I personally place mine in the return pump chamber, even though my freshwater pumps into my skimmer chamber.
