I kind of think that reefs as we know it will be extinct by the time my kids are old enough to enjoy them... So, might as well start protecting them in our home.
Dont be negative! There is a lot of research going into reef restoration. Check it out on youtube

My love of the Oceans and reeflife!
I had always wanted a saltwater tank after having freshwater setups as a kid. Then after my husband passed away in Afghanistan I needed something to take care of and my mind off of it. It has done wonders for my mental health.
Plus having your own slice of reef to look at all the time is just amazing!

Mines still a long list. I am not going to try for the 5 dollar ones. they are gone before i even see em pop up. (i think im good though, hammer, acans, acros, ric) Its been 10 years, I am not going to add zoas this time... cute little herpes of sea.

There are a bunch of programs making reefs, and studies about why the reefs are dying and the cause and such. I love documentaries on them

WWC in FL sold its old faciltity to a bundle of organizations like Disney and Seaworld and they are using that to restore the FL Keys reef
