Can I ask you experts a question while we're taking a breath? I just got a tank that has a HUGE- I mean like 24" green toadstool. The water is all cloudy, no matter filter, flocculant or water change. Is it the nature of toadstools?

It is normal for Toadstools to cloud the water like that. It is a stress response than can be common from tank transfers. I would run carbon for a while as it can irritate other corals. They also shed their skin.

Yah, my two are much smaller and I still worry that they may aggravate my sps in particular. I use a Fluval canister filter with carbon to offset things like that…

Just put carbon in yesterday when I tried the flocculant. Fingers crossed. I'm thinking the stool may stay in it's own tank rather than join the big boys...
