I seem to be losing my trumpet/candy cane colony. It started when the colony got so big it started to get stung by hammer sweepers. I pulled the colony and cut out the dead heads. Ever since then, within a day more and more heads are dieing. Is this BJD? Should I just toss the remaining heads?

Hard to tell with blues but it looks to be. Turn flow off, carefully remove piece as to not let the blob distribute in your tank and frag off affected heads. Dip in iodine, rinse n return and hope for the best.

Pics are vert dark and best under white lighting and for starters, get this off the sandbed as sand will irritate them and due to location, the area of concern is getting no light and little to no water flow.
Take a 3/8" tube and siphon the area of concern and elevate the coral.
