I have a blue throat trigger that’s been in the 180g tank for 2 weeks. He was added with 2 anthais at the same time into the display with 2 chromis, sailfin and blue hippo tang, pair of clowns, and a bi color angel. They are eating like crazy.. but the Sailfin is a food hog and the chromis have started to nip at him when he crowds the feeding ring. The blue throat ended up with some damage today now too. I do have an auto feeder putting in a few pellets 4 times a day into a feeding ring, plus one larger feed around dinner time which is a combo of frozen, pellets, and flakes.

1: do I need to pull the trigger back into qt for that size of damage or observe?

2: should I stop using feeding rings so that it’s not a concentrated feeding area? In essence spreading out the food across the top of the tank?

I dont have much experience with triggers themselves. Just make sure the fins dont get red and start to get infected. if bullying continues I would separate someone either offender or the victim

Make sure the chromis are indeed the bullies.

I would see if you can feed more across the tank and see if aggression stops once everyone establishes pecking order it may stop once they realize food is more abundant and not just concentrated
