I am dosing Alk and have told the Neptune Dos to let the Trident control the dosing. I have the parameters set for 8 + or - .5. My question is, if I go into the advanced properties of the Alk Dos and set the following lines will this affect the Trident controlled dosing.

Fallback ON
Set ON
If Alkx3 > 8.50 Then OFF

Basically I want the Trident to control the dosing but if it gets above 8.5 I do not want to dose.

I think that should work - but I've honestly never tried it on mine. I'd give the Trident ±50% range with the dosing such that as it gets closer to 8.5dKH it will dose less and less.

Update on this. Actually this turned into a disaster. The above statements kicked on the pump and dumped 1L of Alk into the tank. I've spent the last 2 days doing 20% water changes every 4 hours to get the level back down, it went up to 20+. I was told on a Neptune forum to never use a set command in the advanced when the controlled dosing is on. The only command I should have used was the If command.

Yikes! Well, good to know for future reference. How's everything in the tank doing?

Yeah you don't need the set on command. This is how I have mine set and it works perfectly.
