I have some GSP discs that recently have been hit with different types of algae. While I battle the underlying problem, I'd like to try to clean these discs so the GSP has some room to grow.

First I will take a toothbrush to them. Then I was thinking about trying a dip.

Hydrogen Peroxide seems to be mentioned in other threads, but I haven't seen GSPs sensitivity to it listed anywhere. Might start with 1 part HyPer : 3 parts tank water.

I have used a 10% solution of 3% hydrogen peroxide as a 10 minute dip on GSP with good results. Instead of such a strong dip, consider using a toothbrush to spot treat area to be cleaned with peroxide concentrate.
