I intentionally shot this when it was retracted because I was wondering if it was a "wall" torch. It was sold to me almost 2 years ago as a cotton candy torch. None of the Polyps will separate they are all trenched together. Am I doing something wrong? Light to high? To much flow?

It does not look happy, that is for sure.
Light PAR in your tank
Parameters
what about flow? Any way to get a video of it?
Anything that could possibly be irritating it?
What about the rest of your tank, is it fine?

Honestly I had to wait till night to get it like that. Normally it's huge. My question is more on the structure of it and if there are such things as wall torches

Ya, I’ve read there are wall torches but never seen one until possibly now. The skeletal structure does look identical to that of a wall hammer. I put my money on it being a wall torch. Now if you could post a picture that definitively proves Big Foot exists, I’ll be even more impressed.

I would love to see a pic of it when it’s open and huge!

So none of the polyps are separated? The back 2 look like they maybe from the angle. How are the major 3? Wondering if not enough to build a proper full skeleton? Never heard of it before especially if other corals are ok.

Yeah I can see some in the pics so I really didnt think it was. Not that I am a coral expert but I have never heard of a wall torch. With that said I didnt know branching duncans were a thing until last year. I dont mean the typical duncan I mean literally a single polyp and a lot of branch and another single polyp and so on.

It does have some bright green/yellow striations on the oral disk and ending a little up the tentacles. I see no orange though so maybe that is what he was referencing. The original price was $50 when I started to walk away it came down to $40 which was the price of the cotton candy torch at another table nearby.

I have never heard of a wall torch. I would argue that’s a made up name for a torch that’s pinching into form multiple heads at once. My grail is doing a similar thing

One head but forming 6-7. In the mean time it’s wall shaped. Give it 6 months and it will be back to individual heads
