Hello in my 40 gallon reef tank I’ve had a New York Knicks torch for over 8 months and it started receding. At first I thought it was flat worms so I’ve dipped it once a week in red seas reef dip for the past 3 weeks and no flatworms were spotted. My ca is 420 mg is 1250 and Alk is 7.5-8. Par in its original location was around 175 and last weekend moved it down in the tank and is sitting around 110 par with slightly less flow. Below is a pic is now vs a week after I bought it.

Some times torches are just not happy plain and simple lol.. I have a handful and there’s always 1 that don’t like something.. I’d try and raise your mag up to 1350 ish that might help.. my Knicks love higher par and mine sit about 280 par and love it, with good random flow.

Thanks it sucks but that’s the only thing I could think of bc I have 2 dc powerheads that are on a 5 second pulse and alternate power heads every 30 seconds.
