@TopShelfAquatics I’ve been thinking a bit before replying to this latest Taras video. My mind went to so many wonderful places.
I’m not an academic, and most ignorant in science. So please be kind on my thoughts.
Most have already said my thoughts already, but what I will add is this:
Throughout our world, humans have always had their own “grocery store” of regionally specific, flora, fauna, minerals, etc, from land, sea, mountains, caves, and other bodies of waters. They’ve survived because of the ability to “experiment” and used them.
As the world got smaller and transportation allowed us to come to other lands, continents; we brought those local treasures, knowledge, remedies with us.
However, not unlike the new-comers themselves, these “products” (for lack of a better word), were looked upon suspiciously, like voodoo, superstition, or just immigrant foolishness.
Imagine if the different, races’ and ethnic groups’ centuries of local knowledge had been embraced, shared, and even combined?!?
Yet, man is a greedy one and when they realized they had something great that other parts of the world didn’t have access to, they protected, and offered it at a high $ cost. And in times of war, just cut it off.
I kept thinking of my grandmother and great grandmother who came to this country from Constantinople. With their special teas, foods with specific spices, remedies when one was ill.
Everything we need is already here. Whether to make better toothpaste or cure cancer. Maybe we just need to pull out those old dusty letters, hand-written recipes, old recordings and interviews of various indigenous peoples of the world and start listening.
Thank you Taras and TSA for stretching our brains and keeping us excited to learn that everything and everyone is connected, just like the Mysillium Network.

Question to R2R and TSA on contest requirements.
On watching and commenting on the daily TSA videos; what if you can’t reply within the same 24 hour time period that the daily video was posted? What if it’s 1-3 days later due to RL happening? Does it still count in the individual entry count?
I and no doubt most of us won’t keep up replies “daily” on videos, but if still submitted within a reasonable timeframe, same week? Will it count.
But I see where the fairness factors in, what if someone posted in the last day a reply to every daily video - does that count? Did they really “participate” in the fun daily/weekly interactions within this thread vs someone who diligently posted a daily video reply on the same day it was posted?
I have no idea and am not looking to weigh-in on what’s fair or not. I just want to understand for myself. This week my granddaughter was born and I’m caring for her older, toddler brother. Clearly more important than a contest. Is it worth it for me to post replies when I can over the next week or don’t worry about it cause it won’t count towards eligibility requirements anyway.
