Dinner on mars was a good read to cover how algae was going to be a primary food source for astronauts.

I think if we are going to rely on algae for Mars we need to genetically engineer a better strain that doesn't crash as easily as the ones we are currently using for our reef tanks.

Love the idea but it's a big leap from keeping algae in the beer carboys behind Taras into a container that can be put aboard the ISS.
