Feels like middle school science class. But in all seriousness, this video left me wanting to better understand the correlation of cyno bacteria and co2 in the reef tank. I have understood the stages of maturation but now realize I really don't know the back story or why these stages occur. I'm gonna need to watch some more videos and start reading some more indepth Reef2Reef conversations for homework. (Bonus)

I'm curious - with plants, the lighter colored greens, the pinks, and the reds typically require higher light or the start reverting back to darker green. Is it the same with things like phytoplankton as well?
