Nice tank! If the RBTA is still where it is in the picture, then I would put the PH directly behind the TS on the pack glass and have it pointed towards the surface to encourage a Gyre like flow pattern, if that makes sense? Water movement would be bottom to top and back to front.

Of course! Do you have a picture of your tank, I might be able to tell you where you can put the PH so that it doesn’t disturb your RBTA’s
Just so know where I was thinking about an additional power head, I was thinking about the lower right, front corner. That would blow it pretty much directly at the toadstool but from a good distance. I am hoping it will be enough distance that it won't be bad at all for the BTA's across the tank.

Just throwing this out there but there aren't vermatid snails growing through that piece is there? The protrusions look odd. I've never seen that on my toadstools.

Ha, I was originally thinking about there, but pointing down towards the toadstool! Thank you for the compliment on the tank. So you think point it at the surface? or the front glass?

No, I do have some vermitids, but those are just individual polyps that are partially up.

I would try both, my logic behind pointing it at the surface is that more of the flow will make it to the bottom of the tank, than compared to having it directly hit the front glass and diffuse to the side.

Here is a crude drawing of what I’m trying to say haha: IMG_3622.jpeg IMG_3619.jpeg

Hope this helps.

I think it is finally trying to open back up

Definitely! That’s great!

Depending on how long it’s been closed up it may take a few days to open up fully, mine is currently on week 3 since opening and polyp extension is almost back to where it used to be, keep in mind that mine was closed probably close to 6 months so yours shouldn’t take nearly that much time.
