I’ve had this leather for almost 4 years now… every 5 months in under goes a shedding process! Suddenly now there A HOLE being formed on the head, I’m worried it’s caught something as it looks like the hole is signs of rotting. It’s now day 6 and a darker than usual slim has covered the top of it and you could see my pods eating at the algae on top of it.
My low is full blast of it since 6 days ago. I’m very worried. Someone help me on what I should do please and thanks.

There are very tiny specs on it and those are the pods. Eating away on the shedding, algae or rotten flesh!? Freakin out. There weren’t any holes on it yesterday and today I checked and it has…

I’ve triple checked for worms, parasites etc. Then test I have a peppermint shrimp that would still eat them if caught.

I did catch this thing on the power head, if somebody can identify it if this might be it?! (Picture provided)

No new corals or fish, tank has been the same for the past 2 years with nothing added!? Any info helps, or relatively had this occurred to you and what you did to solve it!? Much appreciated!

How do I cut it then dip it when it’s attached to the whole rock aqua scape?!

Any info on trips to get a leather to let go?!
Did not realize that. You can actually cut off the entire bottom of the leather with shark scissors and then cut off the piece and dip in iodine. Then you can use a rubber band to secure onto new rock structure. Very sturdy.
