Team,
I’ve got a 32 gallon Biocube that I’m in the process of filling out with corals. I’ve done a good job at avoiding corals that spread too much because, to be honest, I’m not planning on moving my rock work or removing it.

I’ve recently been REALLY drawn to Zoas but I’m nervous about them taking over.

Talk me into or out of zoas?

Anything that "takes over" can be surgically be eliminated in your tank within 5mims with an old toothbrush and scrubbing

Create a special "Zoa Island" just for them since they won't grow on sand, and then you don't have to worry about them taking over. If it has to be connected to another piece of rock because you don't like or can't do islands, glue frag plugs at the connection point when they start growing in that direction and periodically cut them off. Sell, trade, or give away the extras.

The little guys are worth it in my opinion, for their bright colorful faces and easy care. To Zoa is always the answer and I wouldn't have a tank without them.

I love zoas as fillers on the rocks. They are easily manageable and endless color combos.

Zoa's can be easy and very hard at the same time. Some grow slow some grow fast and take over. It's worth it.
