I just read through the thread, what a great resource! I was wondering if anyone could help give me good ideas, tips or tricks on scaping a large bowfront aquarium. I am currently in the planning stages for my 175g 6'long 30"tall and the width varies from 18" to 24" at the bow. Here is a pic, i imagine the overflows will be a pain to scape around as well.

I had to rip my tank apart last weekend to remove all my fish to put them in quarantine due to ich. Anyone who has ever done this knows the rock never seems to fit back the same way it was. It doesn't matter that I probably have at least a hundred different pics of the rock work from every angle possible. I finally gave up and decided that a fresh start needs a fresh look when my babies are moved back. I have only completed the right side so far but I must say, after looking at pics from before ich to now, I like this so much better. First pic is before ich, second is fallow period

I have an off-center overflow as well on my 90, so my plan is to create a taller rock scape on that side that fans out a little at the bottom. On the opposing side, i'll use a shorter but wider scape with an arch or cave. That way I still have some upper level for fish to swim. I'll post pictures once I get the rock, still waiting for it.

Not sure I completely followed the rule of thirds, but I did follow the rule of this is what I like. It's a 93 gallon cube.

Friend gave me my first coral for this tank, he is holding several for me from my old 200 gallon. When I have confidence in the tank tons of coral will follow.

This is what happens when your cat's think you are spending too much time on the tank and not on them

You need to add some height to it. I would build one of those islands up higher, might take removing the rock and using putty, or can drill holes for acrylic rods. Just my opinion...

What do you guys think of these? This is for my 58g tank. Sorry you can see through the tank, I need to drill it before I paint the back.

Ignore the small rocks in front. Those are just sitting there.
