I can appreciate the color side of this. Not to create offense, but sometimes i cant look at a tank with corals because i feel like my eyes are gonna explode because they're getting attacked by every neon color in the book lol

Thanks s2nhle. I worked on it a while for sure. I learned a lot from this post. And had a bunch of rock to choose from then acid washed it all and started playing. Tried to use epoxy and glue wasn't close to strong enough. Used mainly hydraulic cement on the aquascaping to hold The background is light diffuser and spray foam

Great thread. I love the comment "You have to pretend you cannot touch the same color together." This is so true! To me a reef should be a collage of colors mixed together. The rock work provides the structure and act as the canvas. The corals are the paint.

Don't undere the usefulness of hydraulic cement it seems much stronger and cheaper with zip ties and epoxy with glue still not as strong in my opinion plus 2 epoxy tubes is about same price as a decent amount of hydraulic cement but will go way further Good luck! post pix when get done

I just bought normal hydraulic cement from menards or lowes A little pail was like $12 and that mixes to a lot I did run my tank for couple weeks with just ro/di water changed a few times but no ill effects so far It was pretty easy to deal with mix it thick like peanut butter and wear rubber gloves dries quick

Here is what I have come up with for my 20 gallon. These are my favorite rocks and I have collected them for many years. Even when I got out of the hobby for a few years, I still kept these rocks in a tub in the garage.

I can't wait to add corals.

Very cool aquascape imo! Great job, i like the caves and tall peaks. Scaping a 20gal well can be difficult! you have a build thread? Have fun and good luck stocking it!
