Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I will start a build thread soon of my 40 breeder. Cabinet and support are complete and my light is set up. Waiting on the rest of my equipment to arrive.

Been lurking on here for a long time.

Had a 20H softy and LPS tank way back in 2007. OG Nano-reefer. Life, education, and numerous other hobbies have kept me out of saltwater since 2010.
In the last few years I have had nano freshwater planted tanks. A 5.5 gallon with a Pea puffer. Currently have a Crown tail betta in it. Have a planted 2.6 Fluval Betta with an Alien Betta.
I am in the process of setting up a 40 breeder reef tank in my office. I am very excited about this project as it is over double the water volume of any tank I have every ran.

Looking forward to finally interacting with community.

Welcome! Glad you joined. Sounds like you are in the right place!

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread under Forum > Member Aquariums and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This might help you find people local to you in North Carolina:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
